Re-absorbable haemostatic gelatin
Cutanplast® is a sterile re-absorbable gelatin sponge with a powerful haemostatic effect: the porous surface of the gelatin induces the rapid rupture of the blood plaques with the consequent activation of the enzymatic cascade, which leads to natural coagulation. Each sponge is individually packed in double sterile blister which are packed in boxes of 20 units. Suitable for the following surgeries: Parenchymal surgery, Thoracic surgery.
Areas of use:
- Leakage type bleeding due to wounds in the liver and spleen
- In liver biopsy
- In thyroid surgeries
- In vagotomy
- In cholecystectomy
- In thoracic surgery
- Bleeding in the deep regions of the mediastinum with complications of mediastinoscopy
- Leakage type bleeding following lung surgeries
- In severe bleeding resulting from accidental injuries to the aorta and pulmonary artery
